The MC event is part of a series of conferences organized every four years by the three hosting microscopy societies, alternatingly taking place in one of the three countries. The microscopy conference in Lausanne is being conducted under the auspices of the European Microscopy Society (EMS) as an EMS extension event, open to contributions from anywhere around the globe.
